  • Contributing to governance documentation, including policies, standards and procedures aligned with best practice in electronic trading risk management.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the three lines of defence to embed effective risk and control frameworks.
  • Supporting regulatory change and remediation programmes impacting electronic trading, algorithmic trading and front-office controls.
  • Conducting benchmarking, maturity assessments and industry reviews of electronic trading governance models.
  • Supporting the delivery of digital governance initiatives, including GRC platforms and RegTech-enabled solutions.
  • Working on client-site engagements within dynamic front-office and capital markets environments.

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in electronic trading risk, governance and controls within capital markets.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience working within electronic trading risk, algorithmic trading governance, front-office risk or related advisory environments.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II, algorithmic trading requirements, and global market regulations issued by bodies such as the Financial Conduct Authority, Prudential Regulation Authority, Securities and Exchange Commission and European Securities and Markets Authority.
  • Hands-on experience assessing or designing controls, governance frameworks or risk management processes within electronic trading environments.
  • A solid understanding of operational risk principles, with exposure to operational resilience concepts considered advantageous.
  • Experience working across Front Office, Risk and Compliance functions within investment banks or consulting environments.
  • Exposure to asset classes such as equities, fixed income, FX or derivatives within electronic trading contexts.
  • Experience delivering structured work such as gap analyses, framework design, maturity assessments or target operating models.
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex electronic trading risk concepts clearly.
  • Familiarity with GRC systems, RegTech tools or digital governance solutions is beneficial.
  • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to work effectively in complex, regulated environments.

  • Minimum bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. FRM, CFA, PRINCE2, Agile) are advantageous
