UK Business Development: Another Year, Another Raft of New Account Openings
From a sales and account management perspective, there were two imperatives that permeated 2017 for the London-based business development team:
- The need to augment the team with new account managers, which was subsequently met through the arrival of Sammy Ross at the end of 2016, Tariro Shoniwa at the start of 2017, Jack Morris in December 2017 and, soon, Catherine Collins; and
- The need to continue to open new accounts.
London’s BDMs opened an impressive 16 new accounts in 2017 with a wide variety of clients. Looking ahead to 2018, the London sales team is planning on running a new series of targeted sales campaigns attributed to the type of client and service where we feel we have the capability to gain traction quickly. Given that we will start the new year with six full-time, experienced BDMs GreySpark’s London sales team is anticipating another bumper year of business development.
