Getting the most from cloud technology

Institutions across tiers and locations are currently concentrating on consolidation and cost reductions in the work place. This is a result of the 2008 crisis and subsequent regulatory changes that are still in motion. In the last three years discretionary costs of CTB rose at least 40%, however the majority of spend was on catching up with regulatory requirements and competition.
Concentrating on building the future trading platforms is not on the top of everyone’s to-do and expenditure lists. However, building for the future is going to come back as an inevitable requirement, and as the regulatory climate starts to settle and investment returns, movement towards a more cloud-like infrastructure is a sensible development to current infrastructure deployments.
