Description
Working with CIBs to bridge those gaps, GreySpark identified software vendors that are experienced in translating and connecting GRC policy mandates to financial markets front-office risk controls. GreySpark believes that the following three criteria represent the competitive differentiators for sellside institutions seeking to license a GRC management solution:
- Controls Management – A single source of truth for all models, algorithms and other data, including versions, materiality, relationships and dependencies with full lifecycle management. This also includes structural taxonomy tags, links to inputs, outputs and documentation;
- Risk Management – Within the wider risk management subject, the recognition, scaling and prioritisation of controls and the data associated with them to assess the breaching of risk tolerance levels and to remediate according to the findings; and
- Workflows Management – The automation of processes across the business into an independent flow of tasks, documents and other data or information, characterised by appropriate authorisations, accountability, alerts and reporting.
This report reviews the findings of a survey of the outlined KPCs of three, vendor-provided sellside GRC management solutions. Specifically:
- Fusion Risk Management;
- Protecht ERM; and
- ViClarity Risk Management.
